The Botanical Gardens in Huntsville AL have an Alice theme running all summer (May-Aug), titled Alice’s Garden of Wonders. including a week-long camp for kids running from July 28-Aug 1. Being a botanical garden I’m sure they have a most excellent garden of live flowers.

From our elevator buddy Jenna comes this link to something I’ve never seen, but is way cool. A 1954 TV version of Alice on the Kraft Television Theatre, featuring Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy. Interesting that they are involved as they were also on the Disney TV show One Hour in Wonderland on Christmas 1950 that promoted the soon-to-be-released Disney animated film. Share and enjoy!

Dora in Wonderland Movie

Nickelodeon’s animated preschool bilingual heroine Dora the Explorer becomes the latest to bop through a looking-glass. Originally aired as “Dora in Wonderland” in March (Season 7, Episode 16), it is now available on YouTube and DVD. It features Mel Brooks as the Mad Hatter and Alan Cumming as the White Rabbit.
Alice on Wednesday Shops in Osaka and Nagoya
This just in from Twitter, there are two new shops in Japan, one in Osaka and one in Nagoya, called Alice on Wednesday. My Japanese is non-existent, but they seem to be gift/grocery stores. I’ll take one of each please! Arigato!
New Austin TX Restaurant with an Alice Theme
As if there weren’t enough cool eateries in Austin to make anyone want to head down south for the next SXSW, opening Tuesday, July 1st, 2014 is The Scarlet Rabbit.
