Behind the Scenes of Alice in Wonderland (2010)

Go behind-the-scenes and see what went into the making of the modern live-action Disney production of “Alice in Wonderland” (2010). With visual and motion effects by Sony Pictures Imageworks, Alice’s adventures come to life in truly wondrous ways. Running time: 14 mins. This will be shown every half hour.

Alice Film Screening

.The third day of the film screening series will consist of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1910) and Dreamchild (1985). The 1910 movie is a silent movie made by the Edison Manufacturing Company. Dreamchild, starring Coral Browne and Ian Holm, was written by Dennis Potter and directed by Gavin Millar. Film screenings will be shown in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts starting at 2:30 PM.

.The second day of the film screening series will consist of Alice in Wonderland (1915) and Alice in Wonderland (1931). The 1915 movie starring Viola Savoy was directed by W. W. Young. The 1931 Alice film, starring Ruth Gilbert, was directed by Bud Pollard. Film screenings will be shown in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts starting at 2:30 PM.

Sci-Tec Workshop: Animated Wonderlands

Combine illustrations of the stories’ characters with your very own unique storyline and backdrops. Screening of Walt Disney’s Alice in Wonderland

Maxine Schaefer Memorial Reading

The Lewis Carroll Society of North America is having a theatrical reading at the Morgan Library & Museum in memory of Maxine Schaefer, founding member and longtime secretary of the society. The reading is performed twice a year for 4th and 5th grade children.
