If you’ve been following this blog, then you are already aware that talented LCSNA member Daniel Singer has written a crowd-pleasing play about a fictional meeting between two literary lions, Lewis Carroll and Charles Dickens.
The play A Perfect Likeness has just opened in L.A. for a run through December 22nd.

In case (like me) you weren’t able to attend the LCSNA’s by-all-accounts-fabulous Fall meeting in Los Angeles, host USC’s campus newspaper the Daily Trojan offers a helpful recap, although alas with some errors and omissions–the most egregious being that the names George and Linda Cassady, and also Daniel Singer, should have been front and center along with talented artist Karen Mortillaro. In addition to partnering with Karen and Daniel on planning the entire event, the Cassadys offered a private tour of their awe-inspiring Carroll collection at USC that has attendees still buzzing. They are also the driving force behind the Wonderland Award mentioned in the article. And just as Karen welcomed members for a private look at her studio, Daniel Singer kindly opened his home to members for a viewing of his own substantial Carrollian collection, as well. Our thanks once again to all who contributed to making this meeting so extraordinary, both the wonderful speakers on the podium (real and virtually) and those working behind the scenes to make the magic happen. By all accounts, it was a weekend that all attendees marked with a white stone.

We have just received this note from playwright and LCSNA member Daniel Singer:
“I’m pleased to announce that “A Perfect Likeness” will run Nov 7 – Dec 22 at the Fremont Centre Theatre in South Pasadena, with the same fine cast from the Actors Co-op production last summer. Details, when available, can be had from http://aperfectlikeness.com.”
The play has already had a couple of brief but very successful runs. If you are in the Pasadena, CA area, be sure to watch the play’s web site for performance times and tickets.
If you are a regular reader of our blog, you already know that LCSNA member Daniel Singer has written a playful two-character comedy depicting a fictional encounter between Lewis Carroll and Charles Dickens, and that the play’s premiere in NC was part of our Spring meeting this year.
I’m happy to announce that the play is now receiving its West Coast premiere, at the Actors Co-op in Hollywood, CA. Daniel is involved with the production behind the scenes, and it is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. The production runs only July 19-28. If you’re in the area, I’d suggest you buy your tickets now, before they are all sold out!

If you attended our Spring 2013 meeting in Winston-Salem, NC, then you already know LCSNA member Daniel Singer’s new play about a fictional meeting between Lewis Carroll and Charles Dickens was warmly received. In case you missed it, you can read a glowing review here. Congratulations, Dan! We look forward to more productions of this play.
